I am still here

I am still here!

Its been 1.5 mths since my last post. The last few months has been quuuiiiteee crazy, draining up our time and energy totally. The marathon breaking down of our electrical appliances (fridge last yr…..TV this yr…..then washing machine last month) brought to mind the truth of a friends’s saying that electrical appliances are usually made to last 5 yrs. Well, the new TV does satisfy hubby’s desire to own a LCD anyway. Heeee…. Yep, we used to have a CRT as our first TV in our home. Why not? It works well, and our TV console is big enough! I have been refusing to let hubby buy a LCD or Plasma as I don’t see the need. But well, TV finally spoil, so what to do? heeeeee…

Then we lost our maid, exactly 2 weeks before Jaz’s 1st birthday bash. Imagine how busy I was, doing housework and planning for the party. For that 2 weeks, I slept at 2am nearly every night. Though its nice having the whole house to ourselves, and its sweet sharing housework, but lack of sleep is no joke. I look like an old witch at work, and colleagues commented I look haggard. I need a facial!!!!!

After Jaz’s party, we finally managed to find a maid. We thought we were lucky, and I gritted my teeth and paid up the $3K-$4K of loan for her. Then when the day comes to collect her passport (it took quite long for the passport to approve, for some strange reason), she decided she has that bad a gastric upset that she can’t walk and wish to go back home (she’s in the indo training centre but wants to go back HOME) to rest until she gets better. So….hubby says forget it.

Then, as if all this is not enough, our floor tiles in the living room, which has been sitting primly on our floor for the past 5-6 yrs, decided it had enough and started popping up. It started as a crack sound, then a continuous cracking sound across the entire centre of the living room. My dad thought something snapped in the kitchen and went to check. Within minutes, Jovann can play see saw on the living room floor and the sofa can bounce if you step on a tile 1 metre away. So……money again. Packing up our stuff within the weekend and moving to my ILs and my mom’s place, shifting and packing everything in the living room to squeeze into the 3-4 bedrooms so that the contractor can replace with new tiles we have hastily chosen over the weekend.

We have since moved back. That feeling is sublime when we stepped over the threshold of our home as a family. Bliss. We celebrated by ordering pizza hut that evening hehee and Jovann ate Chicken Ole baked rice....he didn't seem to enjoy it though, preferring the honey wings. :P

Will get my butt around to updating....really updating....the blog soon.....very soon!!! (I hope).
