When I was in the toilet tonight, hubby put on Jovann the pair of swimming arm floats Auntie Brenda bought. I heard a lot of giggling outside when they were fooling around with it, and when I came out of the toilet, Jovann run to me, flapped his arms and said loudly "Barberfly!!!" which means "Butterfly" lah hehee. I burst out laughing. He then went flapping around with his arm rings, running and clapping and being silly, looking for all in the world like an overgrown butterfly hehehe.....

Last lesson in JG
It was the last lesson in JG today for Term 3, and its party time! Teacher Hui Min is leaving JG to teach at NA Poly in Early Childhood Education, but we decided to still let you continue next term coz its obvious you love this place. We wish to maintain your lifestyle as much as possible after your little sister is born, so during Mommy's confinement, Daddy will be the one bringing you to JG alone. We really really hope that by then you would have learn to chew your food and eat outside food so Daddy can feed you easily during lunch outside! Jovann darling, pls learn to chew ok? That remains the most nagging worry your Daddy and Mommy have regarding you....
You are now so comfortable in class you will roam around and sit in front of teachers telling stories with a very relaxed pose, going up to them and communicating...
Today's theme is the letter "O" and they taught you "Octupus" and "章鱼“。During artclass, you were supposed to make an octupus puppet and stick on the colourful stickers onto its tentacles. I let you do what you wanted with the stickers, and your octupus ended up looking like it was suffering from measles....hehee..
You and teacher Huimin...
During playground time today, you went crazy with the wooden playhouse that has stairs, tunnel and a slide, you went on it so many countless times, each time with a scream of delight and a huge grin on your face. When the teachers said its time to go in, Daddy told you "one last time", and you repeated, nodding your head "One last time ah...!" then you went up again. But after you come down from the slide, you went for another turn, assuring Daddy "One last time ah!" hahaha...we exchanged looks of silent amusement...
Photo of you with pretty Megan, also a Sept baby born a few days away from you. :) Isn't she pretty? And she's so tall! just like her mum!

Preggie with Number 2
I am 32 Weeks pregnant already. Feeling both elated and worried. Elated about meeting my little princess, and worried whether I can finish my work in time before I go into labour. And yes, I think I can enjoy the 16 weeks maternity leave, and am very glad for it coz intending to send J to pre-nursery in Jan. I may take my 16 weeks all at one shot in order to send/fetch him personally to and from school in that first few crucial weeks.
Have consolidated so many many little girl clothes from friends and hubby's bro. We have 3 big bags of clothes that are really really nice and new although they are supposed to be hand me downs. On top of that, I have bought many new clothes/bibs/towel as well, from Baby Gap, Gymboree, Next, First Years, Carters, Children's Place, many of them ordered from overseas. Am waiting for the Children's place one to be delivered before I take photos and blog them here hehee....
To prepare J for his little sister, I have bought a Spot book titled "Spot's Baby Sister", and intending to read to him soon. And also asking him to sayang and kiss mei mei more and more.
Soon, have to ask hubby to bathe for him every night already, I am getting heavier and its getting more tiring to do so. Although part of me really cannot bear to, for I enjoy the close bonding time with him in the shower. When you can hug him skin to skin and he helps me to apply soap on my face, and chuckling loudly when he sprays water on me. But I have to get him used to his Daddy bathing him coz I won't be able to do for him during confinement...

Jovann's cute english
It may seem trifle, that he's starting to try to form short sentences. But to us as parents, thats a milestone......a it makes it all the more special that his english is a little bit kiddish and cutish and babyish haha.
Recently he asked me for milk in the morning, and I wanted to leave him on the bed while I go to make milk for him. He thought for a while, then said "no no, Daddy make milk." Coz he wants me to stay on the bed.
But ooops. he is starting to speak Singlish... Oh no!!!
Listen to this. Gong Gong asking him to go sleep, but he don't want....

This is when I just came home, washing my hands and feet before carrying and kissing him. He couldn't find me coz the back/toilet door is closed. (He started asking this "Where are you?" yesterday (10 Aug Sunday) when he was looking for Ah Gong who had went out of the car. Hehee....)

Usually at night, hubby will carry J out of the bathroom (I bathe J and myself together before bedtime) while I dress. Few nights back, hubby was trying to put lotion on J, but J waved him away and said "No! Mommy 来. Dub dub." He has also been trying to rub lotion onto his body and feet and pulling his toes saying "Pull-a-dub-dub" like I always do for him.
Last night, when looking for a ball that has rolled under the chest of drawers, he said "Where is the ball?"
Ah Gong/Ah Ma told us he can also speak a short sentence in teochew... "Ah Gong cheng kou ke teek toh" (Ah Gong wear pants go play). Hehee...
He has started to demand Daddy to change CDs for him in the car. When the player is not playing a song he likes, he will tell Daddy "Daddy, no no." We are trying to get him to say "Daddy, please change the song". Hahaha... When the cd is playing the JJ songs that he likes, he will ask me "Mommy, Daddy, sing."

One Free Daddy?
One Free Daddy? 6 August Wednesday
When feeding Jovann his bedtime milk, most of the time he don't finish. However, when hubby feeds, most of the time he finishes it, or at least drink more. Recently, when he don't finish or brings the bottle away from his mouth, I will warn him that I am asking Daddy to come in if he don't finish his milk. Once Daddy comes in, he will dutifully put back the teat into his mouth.
So past few nights, when he removed the bottle, I will count, in a warning voice...."one...two.....three..." and if he don't show signs of putting it back, I will call "Daddy!!!". And Daddy will come running in. It usually works.
This morning, when J woke up he wondered why Daddy is not in the room (hubby been sleeping in the guest room coz he is sick and J is sick too). I asked J to call for Daddy, he nodded and said "One, Fhwee, Daddy!!!" It took me a split second to realise he's trying to imitate what I did hahahahaaa.... super funny. I told hubby and he hide in the room the next night to listen to J doing that hehehe. Its funny how kids interpret the things adults say....
