Daddy wanted to spend a whole day with you at home, so we don't plan to go out. Your hand also just recovering so we do not wish to over exert you. So this Christmas will be at home!
Auntie Karen invited Mommy to attend Christmas Mass with her, but I cannot because Daddy is out to bai bai and I am alone with you and its nearing your nap time. So I declined, but invited her over to our place instead.
We took some photos of you by the Xmas Tree. At one point of time, you discovered the box of mini crackers Mommy bought, and you carried it up and slinged it over your arms like some tai tais and started walking with it!! so cute!
Later on, Uncle Roger, Uncle Jing Han and Auntie Yo with baby Jerselle also came! You were so excited when you met Jerselle for the first time, that you walked very quickly towards her when she entered the door. YOu greeted her with very loud, noisy baby talk, as if asking how come now then she visit you. Jerselle, this being the first time at our place, was reserved and observant. Mommy asked you to kiss Jerselle and was delighted when you obliged by walking over, placing your hands on her shoulders, and leaned forward to give her a soft kiss on the lips like a sweet gentleman. You did it a 2nd time when I asked. I then went to grab my camera, and asked you to it again. This time, you held her so hard both of you plonked down on your bottoms. Then when you leaned your face you, both of you started crying very hard! Mommy rushed to the 2 of you and checked whats happening, and realised you have bitten Jerselle on the nose! her nose is a bit red and is bleeding slightly. Think you got carried away naughty boy. But I know you don't mean it, as you have the habit of "kissing" your pooh bear on the nose that way whenever you reached home. The pooh bear is the only thing you kissed this way. Now poor Jerselle was bitten by you. All of us sayang and sayang her, and her crying subsided after a while and she proceeded to play with your toys. I had to watch you to keep you away from her now less you got carried away again. I know she is very cute, but you must control yourself sometimes ok darling?
On a side note, Shona the parenting instructor has advised us before never to label our child. By scolding them "naughty boy" too many times, they are tagged with the word "naughty" on their head forever. The right way to discipline and teach the right thing is to refer to the wrong act by you and said that the ACT itself is wrong, and not scold YOU as THE naughty boy. For example, in this case, Mommy should say "It is not very nice of you to bite her this way, pls show that you are sorry by e.g. sayanging her". instead of "Naughty Jovann, why did you do that?!". its tough remembering all this, but if this will help my boy become a better person in future, all this guidelines have to be consistently followed by all around him and his caregivers....tough job..hehehee. :)
That afternoon, we enjoyed a log cake with nice tea. Mommy did not prepare more food to serve the guests as this was an impromptu visit, and I feel bad about it. I brought out some nice strawberries too.
Later on, you went down for a nap at 6pm, so Mommy decided not to bring you out for dinner. I quickly cooked your dinner, and cooked some for Jerselle at the same time. Leaving your portion with Daddy to feed you later, I left the house with them to BP plaza for dinner with Ah Ma. Jerselle was very well behaved throughout the dinner, eating some of the porridge I cooked and basically sitting by herself throughout without kicking any major fuss. That is so different from you, hehehee.
When Mommy reached home, you were so happy to see me you crawled very very quickly towards me. It further confirmed that you left hand has healed already, thank goodness. Daddy has taken very nice photos of you, and you have finished all your dinner!
Mommy spent some time with you opening some presents that Uncle Sean/Auntie Alicia, Uncle Malcolm/Auntie Sharon and Auntie Baoling/Uncle Mak bought you. You did not really tear off the wrappers like what Mommy wanted you to do, but when I turned away to arrange some presents, I heard a tearing sound and realised you had picked up Auntie Baoling's present to open on your own! You tore off the wrapper completely and discovered the bottle of treats inside hehehe! so cute, I was not fast enough to capture a video of you doing that. After that, you went around holding the bottle and shaking it. You also kept holding onto your water bottle and drinking water throughout that evening, so cute. Mommy also opened some presents from my friends. I had initially wanted you to open your biggest presents from Daddy Mommy (your Laugh and Learn home and Post Office) but it was too late for you to do that. so thats for another day darling. Meanwhile, Merry Christmasssss!!!

Daddy Mommy rushed back from Ah Gong Ah Ma's place early so that we can open the Laugh and Learn home present and POst Office with you. And Daddy can set it up for you to play a bit before the party this Sat.
Here's a video of your unwrapping your biggest present this Christmas, then playing with you when Daddy quickly set it up. Why did we buy this present? Coz Mommy rented it for you for a month some time back. You like it so much that Mommy extended the rental by another month. You still like it, seldom did you like a toy so much you will keep playing with it. So during the Taka sale, Mommy and Daddy decided to buy down this Fisher Price toy as it was on 20% plus 10% plus 10% that day!
You looked like you found a good friend, when you unwrapped the present. You kept looking at it. and when Daddy put in the batteries and the music started, you immediately knew which buttons to press and were happily pressing them to hear the music.

The Laugh and Learn Home, the Post Office/Supermarket shop, Fisher Price Doodle Pro, Doctor play set, Kid's Frisbee, Bath Propeller Toy, Board Book of Jesus Stories, roller toy from Better Toy Store and a Polo Ralph Lauren polo-shirt.
