Today is the assessment of each of the kids on their swimming level. The kids in this class are supposed to have reached Level 4, Duckling. We were informed of this assessment weeks earlier, but hubby don't feel keen registering him for it as he felt its just a piece of paper.
Well, it IS a cute piece of certificate though, with a duckling on it, the kid's name, with a proud proclaimation that he/she has reached "Level 4" and a lovely little badge! This badge is actually meant to be attached to the kid's swimsuit, and will grant him access to swimming pools in Netherlands (thats where this certificate level came from I think).
So because we didn't pay $15 for the assessment, we won't get the cute cert even if J achieve the Level 4 requirements. But the coach is so nice and went through the assessment for all the 4 kids there though not all of them registered. :)
What they did that day
* Rhythm Breathing during assisted swimming
* Hold the swim float and kick their legs/swim towards coach, coach will count off how many seconds they can hold onto the float without letting go.
* Swim/kick a few inches from coach to Daddy after coach lets go
* Kid stand on the steps up, coach pull them into the water. Test their instinct on survival, they are supposed to turn back to the steps and climb up themselves.
* Stand on the ledge of the pool, and jump down into the water at the count of 3 towards coach (not Daddy's).
Mommy didn't bring cam that day, so these are courtesy of Auntie Brenda! Thanks B!
