F1 Supper, New Swimsuit and Fussy Eating

Recently bought him a new wet suit and swim diapers from the Isetan sale, as both of his are getting super tight and leaves marks after his swim.

Here he is in the new stuff!

After shower, in his Thomas hooded poncho towel!

The night before, Daddy watching F1 and enjoying this steaming bowl of hot yummy Japanese Char Siew Ra Men. Mommy bought this during Isetan sale as well, $7 for the pack of ramen (serves 2) and $14 for the piece of char siew!!! We ate about 2/3rd of the char siew that night, and that small bowl of soup costs $6 ok! But its SUPER YUMMY LAH!

And recently, J has been on food strike. :( Have confided in a few mommies already, and even written to my PD and a parenting instructor whom have conducted a course for us before. Needless to say, the mommy support group was wonderful with their patience, suggestions and advices. My PD even made the effort to call me up and speak to me for 10mins on how best to approach his chewing problem and food problem. As for the "parenting instructor"?????? she replied my mail with apologies that she can't help me much through a few sentences reply of hers, and suggested I book her "valuable" time, which she helped to inform me costs $110 an hour, for a 2-hour private session. YAH right....no thanks.

Anyway...one of the mommies advice - feed him things he likes. But once he went on food strike, he dun even like his usual fav food. :( He loves soup though, so I took Brenda's recipe of cream of pumpkin, and added some garnishes.

It looked and smelled nice and TASTE nice. Hubby was eyeing it hungrily and saying he can finish it if J don't want. He pretended to wanna snatch from J, which sometimes works. J quickly took a few sips (2 or 3 spoons), then pushed it back to Daddy. :(

Next attempt, porridge/rice with baked teriyaki salmon and stir fry greens. With a bowl of pork/carrot and egg soup on the side.

Doesn't work. He only want the soup. Pointed at the vege and salmon but once I helped him try it he stopped. Daddy had to resort to his "hard" method to make J eat more. :(
