Its Monday, a brand new week with her alone at home and I am enjoying it so much.

My little princess turns 8 weeks yesterday. And you marked the day by being so nottie. :P When we came home from the zoo with gor gor, you didn't nap well at all, all the way from 2pm-6pm. While gorgor and Daddy napping in the room, I was watching after you and you were taking cat naps, then waking up to cry and fuss.

Past 1 week, your nap pattern has changed. It used to be easy to put you to nap, you even fall asleep yourself sometimes in your rocker. not all the time, sometimes. :P but the past week, no amount of carrying, patting, singing will soothe you into a long nap, long enough for me to get something done. Yes, Mommy has resorted to patting now, I didn't pat pat at all in your first 5 weeks but you were contented as can be. :o Now I can carry, pat, singing, SSsssshhhh all I want (until saliva fly all over the place), but you still fuss.

My little girl is drinking milk quite often, sometimes sucking your mittens very noisily 1hr after your feed. I will pick you up and feed you, but you may suckle only 5-10mins. Anyway, in your first 8 weeks, you don't feed more than 10mins each time, even at 3hourly intervals. Thats very short! Gor gor feeds at least 15mins last time. But you are putting on weight fine, so I am not worried. :)

As mommy almost totally latch you, not sure how much you are drinking now. But 2 weeks ago when you 6 weeks old, Mommy had an event to attend to and Daddy put you to bed. That night, he reported that you drank 110ml.

Things about you
* You smile more in the morning, when you wake up fresh from a night's sleep. you are usually in a good mood in the morning.
* You talk a lot when you are happy, making noises so soft and cute Daddy and Gor Gor like to imitate you.
* When gor gor plays with you and sayang you in the morning, you always turn to look at him with those eyes of yours.
* You used to latch on so hard you will leave gum marks on your lower lip after unlatching.
* You smile/laugh with your mouth open and showing that milky white tongue hehe.
* This afternoon, Mommy thinking how to keep you entertained (besides singing to you, dancing with you, putting you on my lap and play, hippo puppet), and grabbed the flashcards lying on the table, which was a free gift from gor gor's FM. To my surprise, you gaze at them very steadily throughout, and even laughed twice, seemingly excited. So cute. Probably coz the words are black and it captures your attention. :)
* Your cries are soft soft and sound so gentle and cute. Daddy and Mommy can't help smiling even when you cry, coz your beginning cries sound super adorable. Only until you get really grouchy hehe.
* You smile less than gor gor though I think. You are a cool cool girl hehe.
* Today is the first day you discovered your hands. When changing diaper for you this morning, I saw you holding you right hand in front of your face and gazing at it. :)
* Your natural biorhythmic clock dictates that Mommy wash up for you at 7.30pm. I tried later initially, but you were so grouchy and upset I brought the bedtime ritual earlier and earlier and discovered the magic time of 7.30pm, plus or minus. Else you will have melt down. If mommy is still having dinner at that time, chances are you will cry and cry, maid will pick you up but you will cry harder until Mommy stops her dinner cos so heartache.
* You seem to prefer me to carry more than anyone else, if you are upset. :) my darling little girl.

2 nights ago, you have started drinking the 2nd side before bed. And waking up at 3.50am after your bedtime feed at 8pm. Hope this continues and gets better. :) But today you only drank total 13mins. May not be enough to last you past 1am. :P But thats ok. I also enjoy seeing your sleepy face in the middle of the night, and your contented look after feeding.

Today, after giving mommy a hard afternoon yesterday, you were super well behaved. You nap well, and fell back to nap yourself when you waken a bit. I think the past week you may have fussed so much coz mommy tried making you nap in your cot instead of the rocker in the living room like what you are used to. So yesterday, Mommy brought the rocker INTO the room to let you nap in it, for a smoother transition. But it didn't work yesterday. However, today was ok. I even had time to send out the long awaited photos of gorgor to his JG teachers, ordered your photos from fotohub, cook and eat without wolfing down my food. And coz you had enough nap, you are in a good mood when you are awake. Smiling and alert and happy, its so fun playing with you. Its a good day today. :)

Tomorrow bringing you to TMC to visit mommy's cousin, and a good friend who just gave birth. Yippeee! you will meet 2 newborn baby boys. :) so fun. Will post photos tmlw.
