=========8 January 2008=========
Today is such a momentous occasion in our lives. Our little boy is starting school. Today marks the first day of his lifetime education, there's no turning back. Aiyoh, sounds so serious. But seriously, I approached this day with mixed feelings. Pride, worries, 不舍得.Excitement too. Curiosity on how he will behave. Anxiety on whether he will hit other kids and get hurt.
We woke up very early this morning, coz gotta bathe for both kids, eat our breakfast, dressed him up and keep him in a good mood in the process. Finally, he's all ready!
Brought Jaz and helper to my mum's place. Hubby then drove super fast to school, coz we want him to reach there early so he has time to warm up.
His English teacher Mdm Oh came out to meet him, and asked us to bring him into the classroom and stay with him for now.

He played toys at one of the tables, and as expected, snatched toys a lot of times from others at the same table. There was quite a bit of snatching that day. We kept emphasizing to share, and to ask nicely. Hubby then went outside the classroom to wait, while I accompanied him. I tried to stay one side and let him be, whilst letting him know I am around. Aside, from the snatching, everything seemed ok. He likes the toys, but is usually observed looking at other people's toys though.
He saw from afar there's a table with a balls toy, and he kept saying "balls"... then suddenly ran to that table and snatched the balls from a jiejie there. Of course I made him give it back and there was some struggles. But jiejie after a few mins offered him a ball, and she did it twice. such a sweet little girl. :)
Hhhmmm...I observed a mom coughing away with a phelgmy cough. Only occasionally covering her mouth. Sigh..I wish people will be more considerate, there's so many kids around. Hubby and I always wears a mask around kids when we are sick.
J was diaperless, and he asked to go to toilet once. The seats there are of course little kids height, so it was quite fun hehee.
Then it was washing hands time, and we were asked to hold our kids and walk in a file to the toilets, its to teach them thats the way they shld walk to the toilets next time when we are not around.
Snacks time. 1st session is served snacks, or a little breakfast around 9am. after washing hands. J waited for his food to be served.
He loved the chocolate milk so much he finished it all up and had choco marks around his mouth. We bought a carton of it later at ntuc.
He was drinking...
and drinking....
Sing along time! He was quite sticky and fussy initially, and refused to sit down, grabbing me tightly and won't let go. Then when the teacher started to sing, he gradually let go and sat down, but refused to sit on the mat until later.
They sang Wheels on the Bus, Humpty Dumpty, 3 Little Monkeys, and some others I forgot hehe! J warmed up then and was hopping along.

At one point of time, a boy hit him on his back, then promptly walked away. Jovann turned back and smack the wrong boy behind him on the face. The poor innocent boy was Gavin, and he cried. I asked J to apologised, and I apologised to the little boy and his mommy too. Felt so bad.
Warmed up already and making himself comfy. :P
Teacher was asking what was the boy in the picture doing (he was playing blocks), and J shouted out "Blocks!". The teacher asked the class is it lego or blocks, and proceeded to say "yes, its Lego". Hhhmmmm.....didn't really agree with that. But I heard she corrected her answer in the next session that day.
At the end, he didn't wanna go home! He stood at a table playing with a box for a while.
After school, brought him to KFC for breakfast coz he only took 3 bites of the biscuits they served. Then was at NTUC and he insisted on helping me carry the basket of shopping. And kaypoh went to dump 5 huge bottles of shower gel (we don't even use this brand) into the basket and tried to carry it. This boy has strength, or stubborn-ness, or a little bit of both ha!
Helping Mommy buy the breastfeeding milk. :)
